## Overview BaseX is a decentralized exchange (DEX) built on Base Chain that implements the Uniswap V3 protocol architecture. As a fork of Uniswap V3, BaseX inherits the core mechanics of concentrated liquidity pools, which allow liquidity providers to concentrate their capital in specific price ranges rather than spreading it across the entire price curve. This design enables higher capital efficiency compared to earlier constant product market maker models. BaseX operates within the Base ecosystem, a Layer 2 chain built on Ethereum that prioritizes low transaction costs and fast settlement.
