## Overview Zarban is an open-source, non-custodial lending and borrowing protocol deployed on the Arbitrum blockchain. It functions as a decentralized finance (DeFi) primitive that allows users to deposit crypto assets to earn interest, borrow against collateral, and mint ZAR—a stablecoin native to the protocol. Because the protocol is non-custodial, users maintain direct control of their private keys and assets at all times. No intermediary holds funds on their behalf. The protocol exists to address friction in traditional crypto lending markets. Most lending platforms require users to trust
