The foundation's charter is explicit: seed and grow an ecosystem of projects and infrastructure that accelerates adoption of the Optimism protocol. Unlike traditional venture capital firms, the foundation operates as a grantmaking and ecosystem development body, deploying capital and resources to support builders who expand the utility and user base of the Optimism network. The foundation exists because protocol adoption requires more than code. It re
