## Overview Flare is a Layer 1 blockchain explicitly designed to solve the data problem in decentralized finance and Web3 applications. While most blockchains focus on transaction throughput or smart contract capabilities, Flare addresses a critical gap: how do decentralized systems reliably access data from outside their own network? This is known as the oracle problem. Flare provides developers with cryptographically secure, decentralized access to data feeds from other blockchains and internet sources without relying on centralized third parties. The blockchain operates on a proof-of-stake
