## Overview Degen Bridge is a cross-chain bridging tool designed specifically to facilitate movement of assets onto Degen Chain, a blockchain that uses the $DEGEN token as its native gas currency instead of Ethereum (ETH). Unlike most EVM chains where you pay transaction fees in ETH or similar base layer tokens, Degen Chain operates with $DEGEN as the primary gas token. This structural difference means users cannot simply deploy to the chain with standard assets—they must first acquire $DEGEN tokens and bridge them across from another blockchain to establish an on-chain presence and pay for tr
